Weekly Weigh In

Week # 12:  -1.6 pounds
Total pounds lost:  -10.6

10 pounds. I've lost 10.6 pounds in 12 weeks. I don't think I have ever lost 10 pounds before, with the exception of having almost 10 pounds removed from my body on May 26th when my daughter was born.

Today, I received my "I've lost 10 pound" ribbon!  Boy did that feel good. Worth all of the salads, worth all of the fruits and the resistance to all things delicious all of the time. I never thought I would say it was worth it, but it really has been. My jeans are loose, I can see my toes again when I look down, I feel more confident and my husband has noticed the change and comments on it quite a bit. SO rewarding.

God has been good to me in this whole venture with weight watchers and I am excited to see that I am only 8 pounds away from my Lifetime goal weight... which means I get to attend meetings and weigh-ins for free as long as I maintain that weight within 2 pounds, for life!  How motivating is that?

I'm so greatful that Chris gave me the opportunity to lose weight through this program and that I've had so many people encouraging me and pushing me to do this. It has made dramatic differences for me.

It's not easy. I still fall. I still give in to the cravings. I will always struggle with my love affair with food. The difference will be, that I've succeeded. I've seen that I CAN do it. I have no excuses left!

Woohoo! 10 pounds down, 17 to go :)

Weekly Weigh-In

Week # 11:  + .2 pounds
Total pounds lost:  -9.0

I forgot to post my weigh-in results from last week. Last week, I was down 2 pounds. I basically lost the weight I gained in Week #9. Shwew!

I am struggling to keep up with WW. My motivation fluctuates and my drive to eat healthy diminishes as I am lured in by chocolate, sugar and yumminess of all kinds. I have a passion for stuffing my face. I'm not going to lie. I'm just going to keep putting it out there for you all to see.

For Easter, we did not give Emma candy. Why?  Because let's be honest: A 23-month old child cannot consume an entire basket of candy... so who eats it?  I  would eat it.

Case in point. My awesome brother mailed me peanut butter cup eggs for Easter. Six in a pack. Gone in 2 days. 3 months worth of WW points (I may be exaggerating that) in a flash. Were they good? Ummm, yes. Melt in your mouth, nothing is wrong in the world, good. However, I should never have eaten all of them. But who can eat just one?  Not this lady.

I can do this.
I can do this.
I can do this.

Emma needs me to succeed.
Chris needs me to succeed.
I need me to succeed.

I cannot give up.
I cannot give up.
I cannot give up!

Weekly Weigh - In

Week # 9:  + 1.6 pounds
Total pounds lost:  -8.0

Yup. It happened. I jumped ship. I let myself go. I didn't track points for almost 2 weeks and I got caught right back up into my old habits of salted caramel mochas and chocolate by the handful.

The good news, is that seeing the reality of my purposeful actions has re-juvenated me a little bit. I was seeking motivation. I found it. Back to counting every Point and finding skinny recipes online and no more falling off the wagon.

My leader helped me set my lifetime goal tonight. I have 11 pounds to lose before I am eligible to become a lifetime member and no longer have to pay for meetings. This is awesome motivation.

Here's to getting back on the horse, and not feeling like I am the horse.

Here's to fitting back into my jeans again (it is amazing the difference a pound and 1/2 can make!)

Here's to showing Emma Sue that her Mom can indeed feed us both a healthy diet and be a good example to her of what it means to take good care of our bodies.
