One of the areas I really struggled with (you can read my previous post!) is that of my home and maintaining it. That brings us to this book:
That brings us to today. This book is great! I have only just begun it a week ago and it has already made some very good changes in our home. I am excited to see the differences that will take place through this journey. I have a deadline of 2 months before it has to be returned to the library so that will keep me motivated I hope :) Anyway, we have been having fun with this and it has continued to improve the mood in our home.
Another big change is that for the last 2 months, my best friend and I have challenged each other to each make a list of goals for the month and each day we are required to send an update of how we did the day before. This has made the BIGGEST difference in our home. My husband made the comment last night that he is proud of me because for the last 2 months, I have been a new woman and he has noticed a lot of changes in my heart, in my life and in our home.
I hope that you will continue to join me on this journey of the domestic life as it applies to me. God is certainly doing a work in me and I am greatful because it means that He can still use me. :)

Random. I talked with you briefly at Cedarville about blogs. I PROMISE, I really didn't set out to stalk you! I saw your comment on Allison Walton's blog, and thinking you were Risha, clicked over and read this post. Really appreciated your words--I find myself struggling, of late, with God's current place for me and my lack of 'having-it-all-together'ness. So, your recommendations were timely. I feel I fall short in life in so many areas! I ordered the cleaning one from the library and bought the Carolyn Mahaney one. I can't wait to read them! Thanks for encouraging me today. Hope you don't mind me stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you found me! I knew of you through Joanna, but had never met you before Homecoming weekend. I'm glad we have met! Welcome to my blog!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know I am not the only one that struggles in this area... it is a daily battle for me and I hope that the books help you as much as they helped and encouraged me! :)
Thank you for stopping by my blog and sharing a piece of your heart with me about how you also have grieved the loss of your mom. Looking forward to reading your blog too, and thanks for these book recs, as I'm looking for something inspiring to read!
